How to use road test route guides
Preview, then practise with guidance
Choose a route from the area page and read the itinerary from beginning to end. Junction cards distinguish turns, merges and name changes. Each timestamp links back to the source video.
Keep speed evidence separate
Regulatory limits, school-zone conditions, the video author’s captions and yellow advisory speeds are labelled separately. A vehicle-speed display is not a speed limit; a disappearing caption is not a new sign.
Coordinates are road-network matches
Entry and exit nodes are matched with OpenStreetMap / Overpass road topology, not whole-street centre points. They are not recorded GPS or lane-by-lane navigation. Parking bays, caption boundaries and map-name differences are marked for review.
Structured coverage that can grow
Routes, road traversals, turns, speed attributes, images and sources are stored separately. All areas use the same schema and pages; the homepage lists the currently published areas and routes.

The videos were published in 2021. Map-source dates are shown in segment details. Follow current signs, instructor guidance and the details of your ICBC appointment.
